For the first time, the Vienna Philharmonic welcomes Canadian conductor Yannick NĂ©zet SĂ©guin to lead the legendary 2026 New Yearâs Concert. This world famous event, broadcast to over 90 countries and reaching more than 50 million viewers, has been a tradition since 1939. NĂ©zet SĂ©guinâs long standing collaboration with the orchestra includes highlights such as the acclaimed Summer Night Concert 2023. Joining the ranks of past maestros like Karajan, Kleiber, Mehta, and Dudamel, he brings fresh energy to one of classical musicâs most celebrated annual performances.
